Dry Needling is a therapeutic technique aimed at addressing muscular pain and dysfunction. Using thin needles, Diogo will target trigger points to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, promoting relief and improved functionality.
Why Consider Dry Needling?
Diogo Trevisan, DPT
Diogo
is a dual-doctorate physical therapist with over a decade of hands-on experience guiding patients through life-changing orthopedic and sports injury recovery. Originally trained in Brazil at the renowned Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba, he later earned his doctorate from Utica University—and is currently deepening his expertise through a second doctorate in Chinese Medicine.
His approach is anything but one-size-fits-all. Diogo integrates both modern science and ancient healing practices to treat the whole person, not just the injury. Whether you’re an athlete returning to competition or a parent rebuilding strength after an accident, his calm authority and precise knowledge create an immediate sense of confidence.
Patients often say they feel like Diogo sees what others miss—and treats what others overlook. That’s not just skill—it’s obsession. He literally reads orthopedic textbooks for fun.
Alongside his wife Stephanie, he leads Physical Therapy Now Sunset as a family-owned clinic built on trust, integrity, and care that goes beyond the session. When he’s not helping patients reclaim their strength, you’ll find him on the Jiu Jitsu mat or chasing after his two boys—living the movement he teaches.
Monica Garcia, PTA
Have you ever met someone that just gave you a warm fuzzy feeling? That is exactly how you’ll feel when you meet Monica. Not only does she provide a nurturing environment for her patients she is also excellent in manual therapy. Monica graduated from university and has been a PTA for 6 years. She is passionate in helping her patients get back to everyday activities pain free. Fun fact about Monica, she was a professional dancer before gong to PTA school.
Stephanie Trevisan – Office Coordinator
Stephanie is the engine behind the scenes at Physical Therapy Now Sunset—handling everything from insurance to logistics with precision and care. A proud alumna of both FIU and NSU, Stephanie brings a rich background as a former Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant and now wears the hat of a multi-business entrepreneur.
As co-owner of PT Now Sunset, she’s not just managing operations—she’s shaping a culture. Stephanie’s passion lies in creating a space where patients feel welcomed, known, and at ease—like part of the family. Her deep roots in the service industry fuel her commitment to making every interaction personal and supportive.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her soaking up time with her family or prioritizing self-care—living the same balance she encourages others to claim.
Pablo Rodriguez, PTA
Pablo [Last Name] is the newest addition to our PT Now Sunset family—and the moment you meet him, you’ll understand why we call him the heart of the clinic. Originally trained as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Cuba, Pablo brings a calming presence and intuitive touch that instantly puts patients at ease.
His background includes time at Massage Envy, so working with Pablo often feels more like a spa experience than traditional therapy (wink wink). Whether you’re rehabbing from injury or just trying to move pain-free again, he knows how to get results without pushing you past your limit.
Fun fact? Pablo is also a proud new dad to a one-year-old son—which means his current hobbies include diapers, baby snacks, and keeping a tiny human alive (no small feat). And maybe… just maybe… sneaking in a nap between patients.
At the end of the day, Pablo makes every session feel like home—warm, safe, and full of care.
Sarieska (Sary) Parra – Front Desk
As the first person you will encounter in our clinic, the minute you meet Sary you’ll swear you’re talking to your best friend. Sary handles the patient experience from beginning to end. She’s so amazing at building relationships with our patients that she can even finish their sentences and anticipate their questions. Sary is an avid traveler and one the kindest people you’ll meet. On her days off she enjoys spending time with her family.
Junior – Technician
Junior is the youngest member of our team but is wise beyond his years. His laugh is contagious and he’s always having fun. He is the one that sets our patients up for their therapy and oversees patient exercise to make sure they’re being done correctly so our patients get the most out of their session. Junior is currently in school studying to be a Doctor of Physical Therapy. On his days off he likes to go and cheer on the Heat.
