I studied at Miami Dade College Medical Campus and got my Associate in Arts Physical Therapy. Then I transfer to Miami Dade College and there I got an Associate in Science Physical Therapy Assistant Degree- PTA. Then I transferred to Florida International University to complete a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. I am the owner of Gables Sports Therapy, Health Wellness Therapy and I am also part of the PHYSICAL THERAPY NOW BIRD ROAD TEAM locates at 6840 SW 40 ST Suite 210 Miami, Florida 33155. I am also the Physical Therapist Assistant Program Director at Professional Hands Institute. I am also a father to two amazing children and I have an amazing wife of whom I have the privilege to be an amazing father and husband. I love them very much and the only thing I love more than them is my career. I take pride in educating the future PTAs and PTs of the future in order to continue enhancing the lives of so many people in need to live a pain free life once again or simply maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Matheus Henrique Barbosa Martins, PTA
Like Ed our PT I too studied at Miami Dade College Medical Campus and got my Associate in Arts Physical Therapy. I specialize in Orthopedics and I treat neurological patients as well as geriatrics. Specialty skills acquired are Myofasical Release, Knesio Taping, Neuromuscular Rehabilitation, Assistive Soft Tissue Manipulation (ASTM) also known as Graston Technique. During my time in Miami Dade Collage I was awarded the honor of best student award during internship, I was awarded the 2nd best GPA for Physical Therapy Assistant. I studied at Acupuncture & Massage College in 2004 where I received got my Massage Therapist License (LMT). I am passionate about the work I do and helping others. Most people think of massage therapy as an indulgent experience and it truly is. What most people don’t know is that massage therapy is beneficial to many health conditions. Providing human touch, combined with therapeutic movements help alleviate pain and discomfort. I originally studied to become a LMT to help my children with Autism and once I saw the results of massage therapy I knew I found my calling. I am a very outgoing and positive person, I love the beach and outdoor adventures.

I studied at Miami Coral Park Senior High graduated in 2016. I am currently studying to be a Physical Therapy Aide. I have experience in Athlete training and Athlete Maintenance. I am currently the Office Coordinator here at Physical Therapy Now Bird Road where I assist the owner in all things clerical and logistics. I am a student, I work full time, I like to help people reach their goals, I work in environment to learn & advance my skills/studies.
