Evelyn Capdevilla, Physical Therapist

Evelyn Capdevila, PT, MPT, is a licensed physical therapist in Homestead with over 27 years in the field.  Ms. Capdevila has extensive experience working in an outpatient setting as a Clinical Director, Clinic owner, Medicare surveyor, educator, chart auditor, clinical review specialist and post payment auditor.  Since 2009, Ms. Capdevila has been performing chart audits, for state and federal compliance in regards to documentation and reimbursement, as well as appeals and reconsiderations.  In 2013, she specialized in workers compensation, including therapy, work hardening and work conditioning.  Evelyn has given in services and courses to clinics and therapists on a national level.  Evelyn is on the committee for Florida National University Physical Therapist Assistant program, volunteers with the APTA and has spoken at a national conference for minority Physical Therapists.  As an APTA member, she is active in the HPA section and Tech SIG, a member of the FiRST council and the national representative of the Beyond Clinical Practice Catalyst group.
